Sales Development Representative

Benbria is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join the company, in an entry-level sales position responsible for assisting with the overall lead generation activities of the company. These activities include cold outbound prospecting, as well as follow up on inbound marketing leads.

The members of the SDR team will be evaluated on their performance using key metrics, which may include: phone outreach, email outreach, preliminary lead qualification, set sales appointments, as well as sales accepted and qualified leads.

The end goal of this individual is to effectively source leads that will move through the sales pipeline, and be the first point of sales outreach in that process.

Overview

A Benbria Sales Development Representative (SDR), will be responsible for contacting targeted prospects, some of whom have responded to marketing awareness campaigns and/or from targeted lists. They will work to understand the current environment and business challenges at the prospect organization, introduce the Benbria platform; provide relevant details, answer questions, and help prospects move into an evaluation cycle that best suits their needs.

The role is focused on dedicated outbound calling activities, executing on marketing campaigns and leads, and qualifying and developing inbound interest that all result in better qualified leads, new sales pipeline, increased conversions and revenue.

Responsibilities

The successful Benbria SDR will be responsible for:

  • Proactive lead generation through outbound call programs and follow-up of leads within assigned accounts.
  • Research, create, and develop targeted prospect lists.
  • Receive and qualify inbound prospect and customer inquiries.
  • Book appointments for the Account Executives, develop opportunities and/or progress leads within assigned Accounts.
  • Maintain detailed account profiles in Salesforce (CRM) including activities, reports, and update management on account status, business opportunities and trends.
  • Work with product management to keep up-to-date on the platform/products, both current and planned.
  • Maintain knowledge, awareness of competitive products and programs, and communicate information learned with product management.
  • Provide back up to sales team members when they are out or traveling.
  • Take dial-in calls from accounts when team members are not available.
  • Engage prospects and customers via online chat to drive conversions and qualify leads.
  • Collect, analyze, report data around performance, campaign and operational execution.
  • Share, learn, and collaborate with team members to develop strategies, improve execution, and ideas that drive great team results and success.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business or similar education/exposure to fundamentals of business - to understand a prospect or lead’s challenges and adequately map solutions to assist.  
  • Ideally, over 6-12 months of prior phone-based inside sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, along with a strong sense of curiosity.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Comfortable with a high-level of daily outbound calling activity.
  • Ability to quickly understand and demonstrate technology and business value propositions.
